Between January and April 2019, the Access Masters Tour will travel to a total of 21 cities on four continents where aspiring Masters degree students will browse top graduate opportunities and meet representatives of international business schools and universities.

This year, the Spring Tour will visit four new cities and will continue to give prospective graduate students the opportunity to meet Masters programme representatives one-to-one.

One-to-One format

The format for One-to-One meetings is undoubtedly deemed a top perk of Access Masters events. While meeting university admissions officers personally is always helpful, the true value of the format comes from the preferences of prospective graduate students having been evaluated in advance and then matched to the Masters programmes offerings. Thus, applicants get to engage with representatives of quality graduate programmes that match their aspirations. The experience is therefore that much more valuable in discovering where you will thrive as a Masters student and grow to a future professional.

Open Fair

Aside from highly personalised individual meetings, Access Masters events also offer an Open Fair for attendees to freely browse the on-site booths of a wide range of international universities. The fields of study presented throughout the event include Business, Management and Organisation, Engineering, Social Sciences, Science, Marketing and Communication, Information Technology, Law and Legal Studies, Medicine and Nursing, Finance and Accounting, International Relations, Mathematics, and Humanities. The Open Fair is extremely suitable for current Bachelor’s students or fresh graduates who want to get a broader idea of international graduate study options.

Workshops and school presentations

While our One-to-One meetings and Open Fair sessions are exciting event features to look forward to, Access Masters also presents attendees with the opportunity to learn more about the application and admissions process through workshops and presentations during the event.

The topic of the workshop usually covers tips and tricks on how to impress graduate schools and admissions directors when meeting them in person and during the application process. This is especially useful for attendees who are eager to make the most of their One-to-One meetings with university representatives, but also for anyone who is ambitious to excel in their Masters application. The workshop is facilitated by an orientation or admissions consultant in the field of international higher education.

In addition, school presentations held on the day of the event provide details of particular Masters programmes to prospective applicants interested in that particular field of study.

Destinations

In spring 2019, Access Masters will host meetings between prospective Masters applicants and universities in four new cities – Santiago, Manila, Jakarta, and Ho Chi Minh City – in addition to 17 established destinations. European cities featured on the Spring Tour include Brussels, Paris, Milan, Munich, Moscow, and Kiev. In India, Access Masters will travel to New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, as well as the aforementioned Asian pearls – Manila, Jakarta, and Ho Chi Minh City. Following that, the Tour will visit Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Santiago, Lima, Bogota, and Mexico City. Access Masters will conclude the Spring Tour with events in Casablanca, Cairo, and Beirut.

Who can attend?

Access Masters events are free of charge and accessible to all English-speaking students who are in their last years of Bachelor’s degree studies or have already graduated and hold a university diploma. English fluency is essential for attending an event in any of the cities featured on tour because participating schools and programmes present international study options. Most of the featured Masters studies are pre-experience programmes which means event attendees are not required or expected to have significant work experience. However, some research and preparation are needed in order to make it a worthwhile experience both for yourself and for the school representatives you meet.

How to prepare for the event

Once your registration and attendance at Access Masters are confirmed, make sure you invest some time to look over the programme specifics of the participating schools, especially if you will be meeting them in the One-to-One format. The Access Masters school profiles available online provide a comprehensive overview of the programme structure, funding opportunities, the application process, and other details about each university. Attendees should consider the most relevant points for them and be clear about why they are interested in a particular programme.

Our experience is that compiling a list of questions which are adequate and specific to different universities is an invaluable preparation strategy for event participants. As long as prospective applicants avoid asking about obvious facts and information already included in the school profile, they will benefit from interaction with admissions directors while making an excellent first impression.

The 2019 Access Masters Spring Tour is ready to welcome ambitious students from all around the world to guide them on their next educational journey!
