Western University – Ivey Business School

Ivey Master of Science in Management Ivey's 16 month MSc program is specifically designed for high-achieving university graduates who are poised to leverage their education and international experiences to become global business leaders. The MSc is a direct-entry masters program, centered around international management, and designed to prepare you for an international career in an ever-evolving, multicultural business world. In December of 2009, Ivey was selected as the exclusive Canadian partner in the internationally renowned CEMS alliance (www.cems.org). This partnership gives Ivey MSc students the opportunity to participate in the renowned Master of International Management program with students from other leading schools in the alliance like the London School of Economics, HEC Paris, National University of Singapore, ESADE (Spain) and Fundao Getulio Vargas (Brazil). Students register as Ivey MSc students and pursue the CEMS MIM program concurrently. The Value of an Ivey MSc The Ivey MSc experience develops your ability to understand what lies beneath a best practice. It pushes you to strengthen your ability to examine and scrutinize management research. It teaches you to apply research methods to existing and emerging business problems. Learn to think both broadly and deeply about complex business issues and environments. Explore real life international business challenges using the business case studies and case learning methods that put Ivey on the map. In class, after you have examined and worked though the business issues, you will be asked to take a position and defend that position. You and your internationally diverse faculty and classmates then work through the case together and learn from each other’s unique perspectives. As a team, you dig deeper to understand how research can be applied to complex global management issues and discover new research opportunities that may still exit. Ivey Awarded CEMS School of the Year In December of 2012, Ivey became the first non-European member school to receive the CEMS School of the Year Award based on the 2011-2012 academic year.
