With approx. 13,000 full-time students, nearly 2,000 part-time students, almost 250 PhD students and close to 600 faculty members, Aarhus BSS ranks among the largest business schools in Europe. Furthermore, it is the largest business and social sciences unit in Denmark at university level with a broad academic base, encompassing both traditional business disciplines and social science disciplines.

    • The objective of the Master’s programme in Technology-Based Business Development in Herning is to produce graduates with a thorough understanding of engineering practices, including the ability to generate, understand and evaluate new technological knowledge as well as create new business opportunities and new central technologies for companies. The study programme is highly practice-oriented, offering the students the opportunity to work with companies on specific projects. Core courses constitute the main content of the study programme and are identical for all graduate students. In the third semester, students can choose from a variety of electives according to their interests.

Economics and Business Administration

  • MSc in Business Intelligence
    • The MSc in Economics and Business Administration – Business Intelligence includes a discussion of the procedural and technical infrastructure that collects and stores the data produced by company’s activities. The programme focuses on how to analyse data in order to predict and recognise patterns and on how to visualise and present results in order to support managerial decision-making.  


  • MSc in Business-to-Business Marketing and Purchasing
    • The MSc in Economics and Business Administration - Business-to-Business Marketing and Purchasing focuses on the managerial challenges related to operating in industrial markets. It prepares students for a wide range of careers, mainly in the private sector. Students on the programme gain skills in areas such as business-to-business marketing and strategy, purchasing management, relationship management, innovation, pricing, and the regulation of cooperation in business markets. 


  • MSc in Finance

  • MSc in Innovation Management and Business Development
    • MSc in Economics and Business Administration - Innovation Management and Business Development educates agents for change, entrepreneurship and innovation. Graduates will master the complex process of innovation, starting at the identification of new ideas, product/service or opportunities that create future growth and value for new and existing businesses. You will be able to manage (design, finance and implement) innovative ideas and ventures in various settings as business developers, project managers or entrepreneurs based on the most recent knowledge about the innovation and entrepreneurial process and their pitfalls.


  • MSc in International Business
    • Internationalisation is a major driving force in today's business for sourcing as well as selling. A wide set of globalisation modes are at hand – from simple export to foreign direct investment or participation in border crossing networks. The MSc in Economics and Business Administration - International Business deals with the challenges of globalisation and ways to handle them. Key concepts are business development and control of foreign operations.


  • MSc in International Economic Consulting
    • The programme will provide you with up-to-date theoretical knowledge required for applied economic analyses; relevant quantitative and empirical methods suitable for sectoral studies, policy impact analyses and forecasting; the training and concepts required for the implementation of national and international project consulting and, last but not least, introduce you to an exciting international environment.


  • MSc in Logistics and Supply Chain Management
    • The courses of the programme will provide you with analytical skills that enable you to appraise, systematically structure and analyse the possible solutions to complex logistical problems.   • MSc in Management Accounting and Control
    • The Management Accounting and Controlling programme provides you with professional qualifications and competences that mirror and sum up the knowledge, understanding and skills acquired through the prerequisite courses, specialisation courses and electives.   • MSc in Marketing
    • The Marketing programme includes an all-important approach to management decision-making as well as a set of business functions. Marketing is indispensable in top management's choices of served markets, competitors, and business portfolios. Customers are central to marketing, which largely involves making promises to customers and then meeting the expectations thus created. This is accomplished through the firm's own value creation activities, but also through support for the value creation process of customers, channel members and other stakeholders. These activities and processes are often international in scope, which is reflected in the content of the different courses in various ways. The international aspect of the marketing programme is also evident in terms of the international faculty and study body, as well as in the possibility to study abroad for a semester. 


  • MSc in Strategic Communication
    • The MSc in Economics and Business Administration – Strategic Communication focuses on the strategic, organisational and managerial opportunities and challenges related to companies’ communication with its various stakeholders. This specialisation qualifies you to master the complex processes and practices of strategic communication specifically within the areas of brand and social media management and innovation, integrated marketing and organisational communication. 


  • MSc in Strategy, Organisation and Leadership
    • To act and contribute as a manager and employee in tomorrow's emerging business community, skills related to strategic, organizational and leadership processes are necessary. These processes are in focus in this programme, which gives students relevant knowledge, insight, and behavioural skills. Real-life processes are often international in scope which is reflected in the content of the different courses in the programmme.


  • MSc in International Business Development
    • The MSc programme in Economics and Business Administration – Inter­national Business Development aims to build the business developers of tomorrow. The programme focuses on business development and the implementation of strategies related to business development processes. It provides students with the analytical decision tools they will need to make the professional decisions that will ensure targeted management of the company’s knowledge-workers, as well as innovation and opti­misation of the company’s business and processes. The programme is intended for students who wish to gain understanding and insight into business development in large global companies as well as small and medium-sized companies.
