The American University of Athens
European Masters
The American University of Athens offers a wide range of Master’s of Science and Master’s of Arts degrees, according to the “American University pattern” for postgraduate students. Each Master degree is divided into the coursework (project),
Consisting of 7 to 4 credit courses, and a 12-credit (6 to 12 months) dissertation.
The professors are all with doctorate degrees from either the UK or the U.S. They teach in seminar classes and supervise the research work done during the dissertation.
All master’s degrees are career oriented and connected-membership- with the British Institution Society, granting the respective per profession license, i.e., Institute of Civil Engineers, Institute of Mechanical Engineers, British Computer Society, British Institute of Banking, British Psychological Society .
Our Master’ s degree students may continue their studies for a doctorate degree, with only two more years of study-intensive post master’s doctorate-.
The research and recourses facilities of The American University of Athens which is located in N.Psychico are housed in five storey building called the “Library & Research Building”.
-LIBRARY : 50,000 single titles in English and access to 1,500,000 books in U.S.A. in digital form
-LABORATORIES: Biology, Biochemistry, Engineering, Electronic and Robotic Materials.
The main building is housing the three auditoriums, 15 lecture rooms and the Computer Center.
