Leeds Business School is based in the double award-winning Rose Bowl - our new home was opened in 2009 as the UK's newest purpose-built Business School. We offer a truly international experience, welcoming students from over 50 countries.Our programmes offer a range of professional body accreditations such as Chartered Institute of Marketing, amongst many others.
Leeds was ranked the most cost effective place to study in the UK (2007 survey). Leeds is a dynamic international city with over 4,000 international students. We are at the heart of the UK's transport network and our airport, just eight miles away, has daily flights to destinations across the world.
Leeds Business School offers postgraduate and professional education at the heart of the city. New developments this year include partnerships with a consortium of ten Turkish universities, which will provide a unique opportunity for Turkish students to combine study in Turkey and in the UK.
Finance & Accounting:
Highlights of our Finance & Accounting provision include the MSc Finance. This is designed for aspiring finance professionals who wish to develop their knowledge of finance in areas such as the financial services sector to the global economy. Specialism include Islamic Finance.
The MA International Trade & Finance is increasingly popular and is a response to the global nature of business and finance. Many students find it provides a practical starting point for those wishing to start their own enterprise or work in exports/imports.
Postgraduate students can attend a number of free events at the university. Guest speakers in 2010 have included the Chief Executive of the British Bankers Association and the Chief Economist of the Yorkshire Bank.
Management & communication:
Leeds Business School is a key player in public relations and communications education, helping you to maximise your potential and continue your professional development. We have the largest PR education centre in Europe. Our University Pro Vice Chancellor, Professor Anne Gregory, leads our Centre for Public Relations and is a former President of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
Our new MA International Communication is delivered by a consortium of six European universities, allowing you to study the course in two different locations. By studying in an English language setting you will gain experience of the international language for professionals.
Management:
Our MA International Business is a truly international course with students from countries such as China, India, Norway, the European Union and other nations. It helps you to develop the essential business skills required by employers - such as communications and effective teamwork. You will also learn about the dynamics of multinational teams and organisations, world trade and foreign direct investment.
